Tenalach (Irish): A word used in the hills and mountains in the west of Ireland. It points to a relationship one
has with the land/air/water, a deep connection that allows one to literally hear the earth sing. I am Irish by birth
and feel very connected to the natural world around me. I live in the country and yes there are times when I think
I can hear the earth sing. This painting takes me back to the Mourne Mts where the pathways are cool in summer and
green is everywhere.
